MS vs KK (20th Match) – Highlights

Karachi Kings made an impression in the 20th match of the 2025 Pakistan Super League vs Multan Sultans. The Kings won at the Gaddafi Stadium, Lahore, by 87 runs; it was very disappointing for the Sultans as the Kings under David Warner showed that they could be on their A-games in all aspects of the game in a performance that was necessary to keep them in the hunt for a playoff spot.

KK kicked things off with fireworks as Tim Seifert and David Warner do their things. The Tim Seifert cameo was all action and no filler—22 off 11. Warner continued his onslaught, scoring a fiery 30 off 13 deliveries, striking four boundaries and two maximums before being dismissed by David Willey. Despite a brief stutter with Omair Yousuf falling cheaply, the innings stabilized through the calm and composed James Vince.

Vince anchored the innings beautifully, remaining unbeaten on 65 off 45 balls with five fours and two sixes. He found solid support from Irfan Khan, who contributed a steady 40 off 33 balls, and later from the explosive Khushdil Shah, whose 33 not out off just 13 deliveries added the finishing flourish. Karachi ended their innings at a daunting 204 for 4 in 20 overs, propelled by an overall run rate of 10.2.

Consequently, MS folded under pressure and were unable to start well, with captain Mohammad Rizwan out for a duck nicking Abbas Afridi behind in the second over. Yasir Khan managed to get a bit of momentum with a 26 off 17 but with wickets falling at such a rate, it had no impact. There was no contribution from Usman Khan and Curtis Campher, and even Kamran Ghulam’s 29 off 25 looked like harmless support.

Multan’s middle order collapsed under the spin threat of Mohammad Nabi and Khushdil Shah. Nabi was sensational, picking up three wickets for just 14 runs in his four overs, dismantling the lower middle order. Khushdil Shah spun magic with 2/26, snapping up Kamran and Iftikhar. Mir Hamza chipped in with two wickets as well, ensuring there was no tail-end resistance.

Overall, MS were all out for 117 in 16.1 overs; giving KK an emphatic 87-run victory. James Vince was awarded Player of the Match for his valuable knock and brilliant catch in the field. This victory will help boost Karachi’s net run rate and provide a vital momentum shift as the tournament enters the final stages.
