The Los Angeles Knight Riders’ bowlers, especially Shadley van Schalkwyk and Ali Khan, struggled to contain the big hitters, with van Schalkwyk conceding 50 runs in his 4 overs while picking up three wickets. Chasing 220, the Los Angeles Knight Riders got off to a shaky start, losing Alex Hales cheaply for 6 runs in the second over. The Knight Riders’ chase was ultimately derailed by the brilliant bowling of Xavier Bartlett and Haris Rauf. Bartlett bowled a tight spell of 3.5 overs, conceding just 28 runs while claiming four crucial wickets. Haris Rauf was equally lethal, taking four wickets himself, including the key dismissals of Unmukt Chand and Andre Russell, effectively breaking the back of the Knight Riders’ batting line-up. Despite a late surge from Matthew Tromp, who scored 41 runs, the Knight Riders fell short by 32 runs, ending on 187 for 10 in 19.5 overs.
