Nepal were eventually bowled out for 122 in 19.5 overs, with Simmonds finishing with four wickets and Jediah Blades chipping in with two. Akeal Hosein, Jason Holder, and other bowlers also maintained tight lines to restrict Nepal to a below-par total. Extras, including six wides, slightly inflated the Nepal innings, but overall the batting side never gained a firm foothold.

 

West Indies’ chase was swift and authoritative. The openers Amir Jangoo and Ackeem Auguste dismantled the Nepal bowling attack, reaching the target in just 12.2 overs with a remarkable 123-run opening stand. Jangoo was the standout performer, playing a magnificent unbeaten knock of 74 off 45 balls, striking five boundaries and six sixes. 

 

Auguste complemented him beautifully with 41 runs from 29 deliveries, maintaining a high strike rate throughout the innings. Nepal’s bowlers struggled to make any impact, with Rohit Paudel conceding 18 runs in two overs and Karan KC going for 19. Sompal Kami, Mohammad Aadil Alam, and Kushal Bhurtel also failed to trouble the aggressive WI pair. 

 

Extras added another eight runs to the total, but they were largely inconsequential given the dominance of the opening duo. The victory highlighted the depth and firepower of the West Indies batting lineup while exposing gaps in Nepal’s bowling strategy.

 

West Indies’ bowlers set the tone for the game with disciplined spells and timely wickets, and their batsmen executed the chase with clinical precision. The comprehensive win by 10 wickets underlined the visitors’ superiority in this series and provided them with a morale boost as they looked forward to upcoming fixtures. Nepal, on the other hand, will need to reassess their approach in both batting and bowling departments to be more competitive against stronger opposition.
