The duo put on a massive 155-run opening stand that effectively killed the contest. Following Rohit’s departure, Virat Kohli joined Jaiswal, and the pair ensured there were no further hiccups. Jaiswal continued his maturation as a top-order batter, pacing his innings perfectly to finish on 116 not out from 121 deliveries. On the other end, Kohli was in a hurry to finish proceedings, blasting an unbeaten 65 off just 45 balls. His aggressive cameo, which included three sixes, helped India chase down the target of 271 with more than ten overs to spare. Jaiswal was named Player of the Match for his match-winning century, while Kohli took home the Player of the Series award for his consistent run-scoring throughout the tour.
